Im not sure that I can say much about AIDS that is constructive, Ive only known one person who I have known has been HIV+ though Im sure Ive met more without knowing it. Id love to write her what my ground breaking solution is for the freedom of this world from the grip of AIDS but all I know is that Jesus is the answer, because as a popular sunday school song goes
Jesus loves me this I know, For the Bible tells me so.
I dont think God has wrought AIDS as any kind of judgement on the world, I think AIDS is the injustice of sin. How can we do something well One Hundred Hours have been running Engage HIV AIDS . COM for a couple of years and they have some great action points. The one we can start with today is prayer, and I like what they’ve said about it.
We must never underestimate the importance of prayer. Prayer can change the world. One way of reflecting Jesus in the midst of the HIV/AIDS pandemic, is to commit to praying for the crisis. When we pray we begin to get a glimpse of God’s heart for those who are hurting, from that place we can more effectively reach out to this world. Prayer calls on a big God to step in and do big things! Will you partner with God in what He’s wanting to do through your life and through your prayers?
