Dont you just love it when you find a solution to your problem, and for me, nothing is better than a swish lookin’ web 2.0 solution to my problem. Now normally these web2.0 solutions are like Ikea solutions, there not problems until you see the solution! but Meebo is really what I have needed.
Growing up in the 90’s, I was in school right when the Instant messaging craze went off, and so Ive been on AIM, Yahoo IM, MSN Messenger, ICQ (though I dont remember my number now!), and now Google Talk (seeing as it is throw in with Gmail) Id pretty much given up on everything other than MSN, and sometimes GoogleTalk when Im in my gmail account. The other problem I had was that I was constantly on different computers. How did Meebo solve all of this well…
- Meebo lets you login to all the IM Clients at once (Yahoo!, GTalk, ICQ, AIM etc….)
- Meebo is entirely contained in AJAX, so no popups everything is contained within one browser window
- Also theres a great tool called meebome that you can set up IM on your blog sidebar, you may have seen me test it if you were on the site yesterday though I dont think Ill be using it.
