Yes, it happened my first Road traffic accident. Needless to same I am not impressed, but at the same time worse things have happened. If you go to this flickr page you can seen the annotated damage, just hover your mouse pointer over the boxes and a text box will give details of the damage (needless to say this is what a nerd does when he crashes his car!

I was coming on to a road from a junction that is a tight angle meaning you basically have to look behind you to see the car flow of the road you’re coming onto. The car in front (was not a toyota) pulled away so I had a last check over my shoulder and it was all clear so pulled away, but the car in front had stopped (for some unknown reason) and before I knew it the nose of my car was starting a fight with her flimsy bumper.

Anyway all is said an done, and I feel surprisingly calm about the whole thing despite my £750 policy excess (which basically amounts to "If you dont write off your car we’re not paying!") as I said I havent taken it to the body shop for the bill yet, so I might have a renewed sense of annoyance at the whole event then.

But essentially everyone was fine, and as for my first accident, it could have been worse, and I wasnt doing anything stupid in the car which would make me feel like a grade a idiot for crashing. Another nice anecdote was Stuart and Elizabeth came over to the beach to check out the damage, and see if I was bleeding anywhere (joke!) and then we all drove off to starbucks where I inducted some caffiene and promptly drove off in to the sunset……and ended up in Fraserburgh, who ever knew that that was were the sun lived!
