I often read obituaries and try and discern their lives path, the victories, the defeats. I have linked two recent obituaries which each have an interesting and commendable story to tell:

Professor James B Torrance – A former Professor of Systematics at University of Aberdeen, where I am dong my degree.
As a theologian, teacher, preacher, colleague, father, husband and grandfather he modelled a way of life that proved to be an inspiration to thousands.
