Well as I mentioned in the last few posts I ended up just taking pictures and enjoying the break instead of blogging (which I equally enjoy, but is more a solo pursuit, and a time consuming one), but we are finally home, though not without adventure.
After the last blog Rachel had a few nasty falls and gave up trying to learn how to snowboard as she was becoming one entire bruise, so the day after I went to our last lesson alone just to keep our word to our tutor, then we promptly headed off to check out postjna castle which is amazing as you can see below it is basically built on a cliff in front of a huge cave.
After that we went to the capital ljubljana and apart from a minor parking rage moment really enjoyed the christmas market, mulled wine, honey schnapps and late night shopping.
We also spent a long but amazing day in Venice enjoying the coffee, canals, and camera-ing….(sorry ran out of alliteration) flickr album speaks the best.
We also really enjoyed staying in our hostel which was in a beautiful small village called podkoren, they really made us feel at home playing ena (slovenian uno) and drinking mulled wine and schnapps most nights, definately recommended for a cheap trip to Slovenia - Pr’tatko Hostel
