I am back from Cornwall and back at work. Though that seems a fairly ‘back to the grind’ statement, I very fortunately dont feel as If Im going ‘back to the grind’.
Due to the turmoil and change of the last week I have not been able to follow the rhythms of lent with Scot McKnight’s 40 days of the Jesus Creed as I had hoped, but in the words of a prayer by Stanley Hauerwas this is due to my ‘enjoyment of the interruptions of his kingdom called friends’.
Although it was a time of mourning and grief that we returned to cornwall for we were pleased to see so many friends (many unexpectedly) and spend some time sharing our lives with each other.
