I have not read this book, but Susan Fyvie has, and it certainly sparked some interesting conversation on the way to church one sunday.
There are a few points of view on the book, many praising and a few retractors from a theological standpoint. I would be interested to see if anyone knows of place where someone has made a theological assessment of the book? From the things Susan mentioned I couldn’t see any particular theological problems, though there may have been concepts which were hard to swallow for many Christians.
The Parchment and Pen blog have given a feeling of the reactions from both sides with some more interesting comments in the comments section itself.
There are also a plethora of views out there on the amazon reviews which can be found here.
Anyone out there read the book and have any thoughts on it?
