I’ve been trying to get to read some of Eugene Peterson’s books, so I left a copy of Christ plays in ten thousand places in my car. It is really a superb book.
Here is an excellent reflection on theology and the christian life:
"But the fact is we live only because God lives and that we live well only in continuity with the way God makes, saves, and blesses us. Spirituality begins in theology (the revelation and knowledge of God) and is guided by it. And theology is never truly apart from being expressed in the bodies of the men and women to whom God gives life and whom God intends to live a full salvation life (spirituality).
