End of Week Round up

June 13th, 2008 · No Comments

Just a few things to keep you interested over the weekend

Christian Resources charity Demarus has published some good resources for using the Narnia movie, a theme I picked up a little while ago in a round up.

Trevin Wax posts a great insight into missions in his post ‘When the Missionary Honeymoon is Over’ - Trevin will hopefully be a guest on this site in the next few weeks as a part of a series I’m starting answering some questions on the subject of missions, so stay tuned for that.

Theology Blog Inhabitio Dei has posted a template for reading the New testament in a week which I am planning to attempt along with my good friend at YWAM and lapsed blogger John Gillespie!

I stumbled across a good web designer here in Scotland who created the episcopal denominations site, he’s so good I thought I link him here.

Lifehacker feature some free software for recovering deleted files, who hasn’t needed something to do that before?

Lifehacker also featured offline blog editor Windows Live Writer. I had never heard of it before and had become a bit disillusioned with offline blog editors after I bought ecto and used it twice (in all fairness to ecto it was my incompetence) but Windows Live Writer, whilst I hate to promote much from the sworn enemy of all thing apple, seems pretty good. Best of all of course is, its free, secondly it automatically downloads the settings of your blog and offers a full on web preview on your blog home page. Very cool indeed, in fact this is the first post I’ve written in it, it may be a short lived romance though so I’ll let you know. If you use an offline editor that you love, mac or windows, let me know in the comments.

UK Blogger Jonny Baker has written an article for the Lausanne World Pulse called Mission among Young People in “Secular” Europe which is an Interesting read.

Here’s a post I found quite Interesting by Scott Stephens on the Faith and  Theology blog  called The Dangers of Obamania which offers some subversive yet intriguing comments about US politics and how Obama is the new Reagan!
