Start of Week Round up

July 7th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I had a particularly hectic week last week with graduating at the start of the week (see pictures here) , then working in London for a few days yet not getting to see any action at Wimbledon!..now I am back on terra firma and able to give a tour of my rss reading catch up.

Dropbox was highlighted by Lifehacker again, I have been using it now for about a month now and can say it is by far the best fil;e transfer app available…I’m just waiting for it to come out of beta so I can get more than 2GB! Holla in the comments for an invite to the as-yet private beta.

Floyd and Sally have included some great photos from their community giving an insight to what is going on there.

View from the basement gets into a quick exploration of Pastoring in a Media age and how the Sunday sermon is likely not the first a congregation has heard that week.

Desiring God featured a few interesting Interviews from their national conference.

Douglas Knight is blogging brilliantly and frequently, something about theologians and writing a lot of posts (see Scot McKnight) still at least he has good taste, he uses the same wordpress theme as me.

I am currently reading The Mission of God by Christopher Wright that Rachel bought me for my graduation, looks like a great book.

Mission of God is a great book. I just finished the first section. Many people at Covenant Seminary is St. Louis USA LOVE it. Let me know what you think.

Zack I think I will enjoy it too, although after reading the first chapter I realised I was about to start a book with another 4 half read so have decided to finish of those before continuing any further with Mission of God. Thanks for the endorsement though and for commenting, always nice to hear from you.
