Hi Chris, The Valve Jnr did work well. The one thing I would say is, whilst we mic'd the amp, we only used that for the front of house speakers, and once I had a pretty formidable wedge, and was standing next to the drum kit (without a screen) I had to crank the amp to hear it. I probably should have asked for some in the monitor but I had a linked monitor with the lead acoustic player.
Also because it was only a 5watt amp, it broke up sound -wise alot earlier than you might expect, which may be a plus or minus depending on your preference.

Did you find the Valve Jnr OK? I'm in the hunt for a small tube amp for my worship team at the moment! I was considering a 15W because I was concerned that the 5W amps might sound a bit "boxy" how did it go?
