I found a very interesting tool to play with, Public Profiler’s World names, it allows you to put in your surname and it tells you where in the world the most people with you surname live. Worth noting though that they don’t seem to have datasets for Africa, central and south America (not including Argentina) and the majority of Asia, interesting all the same.
Unsurprisingly Ireland came out on top in the regions department but the top country was Australia!:

I like the new heading thingy (ahh…technical terms!) it’s very Juno.
I did this, and the top country was New Zealand. Weird. However, the top region was unsurprisingly Scotland….so the world is still all making sense after all.
