Although you wont notice any difference on the face of it, Ive just installed Wordpress 2.7 and for me on the backend, it looks VERY different.
One of the most interesting new features is a quickpress box on the dashboard which enables you to posty shorter posts, somewhat in theme of the popular tumblr blog system which is based less on volumous content and more on bookmarking interesting links, videos and posting status’ ala twitter and facebook.
Once again Wordpress lead the way for blogging platforms, whilst incorporating the new ideas floating around. On top of all of this Wordpress is free!

It rocks and I finally decided to go ahead set up an picture on Gravatar and set up a theme that they could be displayed in. WordPress rocks so bad.

Ah, Interesting, for the life of me I cant find out how to do that..a point in the right direction would be appreciated…my avatar is seriously default boring.

I haven’t used 2.7 too much since I update (stupid essays!), so I can’t really make a proper evaluation of it, but it looks hot. I too like the Quickpress thing and used it earlier today. I also like the new navigation. It’s all a bit easier too keep track of. Wordpress is the best blogging platforms out there, by a mile.
