All Starbucks lovers enjoy the novelty of a seasonal blend, and I’ve just picked a bag of Starbucks Christmas Blend up for the last week in work before Christmas. Starbucks beans are a tad overpriced in my opinion but in the UK it certainly is one of the only places to be assured of a decent cup of coffee. Whilst I enjoy Starbucks generally I find the ‘Starbucks Roast’ a little over done, dare I say a little on the burnt side, and I know I’m not alone in that evaluation.
Starbucks describes the Christmas blend as:
“Our festive blend of bold Asia/Pacific coffees and crisp and lively Latin American beans is back to spread holiday cheer all season long. We give this coffee a joyful, spicy warmth with a very special and rare ingredient: aged Indonesian beans.”
Since the excellent Macbeans Gourmet Blend I blogged about, I have also
enjoyed Edinburgh Tea Company’s Java Roast which I don’t seem to be able to find any info on, apart from the obvious origin of the bean.
I have been drinking Edinburgh Tea Company coffees for ages but it comes in a non descript metallic coffee bag from the local deli, so if anyone has any useful descriptive comments about it, please let me know.
